I just moved to Temecula CA and bought a Polaris Predator 500. I know there are tons of great riding places within 1-2 hours of here but are there any local places? I'm looking for somewhere I can go mid week for an hour. Can anyone help? FYI, I've been riding dirtbikes, quads and snowmobiles since 3rd grade (31yrs old now)so any terrain will do. Thanks for any help! Joe

Jpelle21,

You are about an hour away from Ocotillo Wells SVRA.

We go there a lot...Mainly to "Holmes Camp" which can get crowded on 3 day weekends, but it does have hot showers and bathrooms.

Here's some info on Ocotillo Wells:

Went to Ocotillo Wells last weekend and wow that was great! Riding was sick and there were tons of people out there. Saw some pretty nice bikes, quads, sand rails etc....Definitley worth the drive but it was an hour and a half away. Thanks for the help. Let me know if anyone knows any places in Temecula or Murrieta. Thanks

If you're looking for a place to do trail riding close by, I think the only place is Wildomar OHV. It's about 40 minutes or so from Temecula. It's small, like 1.5 square miles, but it's fine for just putting around for an hour or two if you don't feel like driving out to Ocotillo Wells.

I live in Temecula as well and plan on doing a bit of riding up in Big Bear this summer after Ocotillo heats up. Big Bear is only 1.5 hours or so away.

For overnight trips, I'll be hitting up Hungry Valley and Oceano Dunes.

Let me know if you want to hit up Wildomar, I'll probably head out there for a little bit this weekend just to get out of the house and make sure everything's in good shape.
