Smokin ???

my 400ex engine is smoking after a cold start for about 30 seconds then it clears out. is it valve seals or rings? thanks!

sounds like valve seals.. either way head has to come off to fix it

just let all the seals expand after its been warmed up well

Condensation and moisture in the motor. All engines do it upon cold starts. Watch trucks in real cold weather. No real issues.

It is oil burning but it is brief & not at every start up.
