hey everyone was just wondering if anyone had some pictures of there home made "shorty" muffle weather it be a stock pipe or a aftermarket pipe hacked up i want to see the absolute best shorty's

Here is mine. I made it from a old streetbike pipe that i had laying around.

now thats what im talkin about how long did it take to make and was it worth it......what kinda work u have to do to make it work

It took about 2 hrs and ya it was worth it. and the best part 0$

My dad and I made a shorty from an aluminum drive shaft when I cracked the whole mount out of my LRD.

Thank you Boris The Goat you are the man those are all sick how did the stock shorty perform was it very loud i know that shorties are almost always loud but was it anyoning?

Always got louder but I love the sound. The ltr450 pipe ended up loosing all the packing cause the end 5" is where all the packing was in that muffler so its super loud!

Never felt any gain or loss in hp.

I am not trying to sound like a jerk, but why would you waste the time and effort to hack up a perfectly good pipe to not get any gains from it?

well its all prefernce im sure i just want to do it and i have a stock pipe just lying around and i know a stock pipe dont perform good enough for my 440 soo i am going to have it up and make something that works just want to get the right idea first

Looks better and sounds better and less weight. And if you know what your doing it can be done in as little as 20 mins.
