ok i have a trx400 with .50 over in pistons and stage 1 cams.i have a t-4 pipe,450 carb,new tires, nerf bars,sprockets, DG front bumber.clutch. and i thinking about tradeing this guy for his 2004 polaris predator is that a good deal and about how much faster is the predator than mine

keep the honda, finish your build and just buy a new bike (450r, yfz, ktm, ltr, etc.) when the funds are in your hand.

youll be alot happier in the long run.

think about this...........if his bike is that much faster and better, why would he want to trade down (if you think yours that is that much slower) ?

Stock preds are about equal to a 450 if not a little weaker power wise. Seems like you have some descent mods so it wouldn't be a huge difference in power. The thing is they're heavy, bulky, and alot of people don't like the handling. Personally i think they feel pretty good, but they are a bit heavy. I hear modded preds are pretty fast though.

i wouldnt trade i mean you can make them fast but if you want that wait till spring sell yours and get a 450 and build something. when you build it yourself yuo know the work was done right. and then if you ever have a problem with it you've alread yhad it apart once so it wouldnt b hard for you to fix
