I am tired of the stock look of f-150's, i hate how they sit nose down. i rarely pull heavy trailers so its not doing me any good. so as the title says leveling kit of lowering shackles? im not doing tires and/or wheels any time soon so i am asking for an opinion based on the factory wheels.

i am either doing.

shackles man. Id never do blocks on the rear, to me thats a ghetto way of doing it

Also do you want the truck to be lower or higher? Lower do the shackles, higher do the leveling kit. Its all about how you want it to look, like a "sport" truck or a 4wd

lift it, fat chicks cant jump lol I think the only trucks meant to be lowered are smaller ones or like the SRT10 Ram or Lightning

Is it 2wd or 4wd. If it's 2wd lower it and if its 4wd raise it. I hope its 4wd so I'd raise it.

its a 2wd. the truck rarely goes off the road. if it does its just me taking feed into the pasture.

and mineralgrey01gt, the blocks go on the front on a leveling kit, look at this page.

Since its 4x2 get the lowering shackles.
Go with the DJM shackles. I love my DJM 3/5 drop on my 86.

Im going to buy some for my dads 07 F150 4x2 and some for my Lightning soon.

well today i changed my brake pads all the way around. also bled the brakes. I am leaning torwards buying the lowering shackles. should i do the 2" drop or should i find a 2.5"-3".

Also i might be putting a new grill on it soon. My brohter has this grill in black that goes in the main grill and the bumper for sale. i could prob pick it up for a decent price.

i would likely put the ford logo back on it. i think its a little too plain without it. if you look at the picture in the link the f150 shown has the chrome piece that goes around the grill, mine is black. also i have a chrome bumper. i think it will even out the chrome to black ratio.:)

since its 2 wheel drive lower the back with the shackels kit.

put a 3 inch drop on the back of my 2000 reg. cab silverado and it evened it out damn near perfect

I would definitely lower it since it is 2wd. I'm just like you though. I hate the way they look stock. I have an 04 Fx4 and I'm about to get a 2.25 inch leveling kit. Oh, if you do for some reason decide to go with the leveling kit, don't get anything bigger than 2.25 inches. From what I hear, anything bigger throws the COG off too much.

just get the shackles, i got that job done 2 weeks ago (same truck, kit, everything) and the sackles are the cheaper and easier route, and i hung on to the stockers in case i may need em for whatever....... it is akward at first (2' dont seem like that much, but when you jump in and out of the bed on a daily basis ilike i do you notice it) but you get use to it after a while, oh and the steering is a bit more responsive so thats a bonus

Good choice with the 2WD, I just did my 08' Denali a few weeks ago.
I'd take off the pin stripe, but that's me...

i like that idea. how hard will it be to take it off. someone did it to my moms suburban but it left glue all the way down the side.

A body shop can do it easily.
If you want to do it yourself, the best way would be a rubber wheel (with a side grinder). It wont hurt the paint, it's what I use when taking off side moldings...
