I recently installed a new RAD carrier and have followed all the steps basically. I ditched the old nut and got a RAD nut as well. Only after about 4 rides there is a hair of play up and down. I want to note that 1 of the 4 bolts (center ones) on back have snapped and I've been riding without it. Could that have caused it?

no all the lock bolts do is pinch the carrier so your chain dosent loosen up check your axle nut again

Your axle nut has came loose is all tighten it up and youll be fine, or there is the possibility that either your swingarm bolt is loose or the swingarm bearings are shot. Any of the following will give you the slight movement you are experiencing.

No way can it be the new rad carrier bearings right?

It was the axle bolt. Phew. Unfortunately I dont have a wrench big enough for that so I used a lawn mower belt, looped it around the nut and back through the other end of the belt and gave it good tugs till I couldnt move it anymore. When I installed it I just used a screw driver through the allen bolt holes and tightened it:ermm:
