My new air shrouds

So I got some UM air shrouds for christmas, they look trick. But I want to know exactly how much they do help with cooling, is there a noticeable difference? Or are they mostly for show?

Helps cool it down by how much? i would only geuss no more than 5 degrees. They are mostly looks only.

okay lets just be honest. they dont cool it down, if they do its not enough to notice. they look cool though. i had them on my 400ex and it was one of the cleanest 400's around.

I would have to disagree to a small extent...I installed a set of tinners and i noticed some better cooling...i am not sure how much...i would like to get an oil temp gauge to see if its helping at all but they do direct at least a bit more air over the motor....

Thanks for the input, i figured at least something would get in there, but i do like the look of mine although I think I like the look of those tinners more than my um.

I originally bought the UM ones and they would not work on an 08 so i sent them back...They changed a few things on the 08 so i was unable to mount the UM's. Ordered the Tinners from him on here for $45.00 shipped! Mounted in about 15 minutes and are very solid......

will tinners still fit the other years?

as far as i know yes....when you order the tinner scoops you give him the make,model and year. They will probably fit because i have seen numerous 400's with them on.
