Good looking quad but does the price seem high?

No!!!!!! More like about $7000 grand to cheap. If the bearings and all are not worn out then it is well worth it. Most bikes you find like this are just fresh powdercoated worn out bikes. I may be biased about the price because i have owned a crf450 laeger since 2003.

Converted from a laeger R chassis from the looks? From what i can see the motor mounts are not like the laeger crf ive build and others ive seen.

Thank you
Justin

Its kind hard to tell if your not very familiar with the chassis, the easiest thing others would probably notice is the front motor mount. Take a look at the pics i have of the other Laeger CRF quads. The front mount is a short loop with two spots to bolt the actual motor mounts to.

Hey whats up? Here are some pics of my Laeger True YZF quads. As you can see they run a much different style front motor mount(and head stay) than the crf.

like spawn said, the reason for it being so cheap is its a conversion, you really have to be careful with conversion bikes because alot of the times the fabrication was half assed

I'll agree that the front motor mount setup doesn't look the same as what jrspawn posted in the pictures, but there are 2 versions of the Laeger CRF frames. The first batch of frames that were built look more like what is posted on that ebay link. They used the front motor mount off the CRF motorcycle, instead of the mounts shown in jrspawn's pictures. Those are the truly rare Laeger CRF frames. It's my understanding that most of the Laeger CRF frames were actually built by CT Racing and use the mounts shown in the pictures above.

Based on the pictures it's tough to tell what it really is. If it is a conversion, then it's a bit of a rare item with the wide front and CR link, since most of the 250R CR link frames were also a narrow front.

Witz is right on the money (as usual).

Notice there is no kick starter ext. and the location of the lower right sub frame mount along with the rear brake lever and master cylinder. That's a four stroke frame and one of the few that were built in 02 by Mark himself. A rare find and a bargin at that price. Too bad its on the wrong side of the pond.

the quad in europe for sale is in fact an orginal laeger. that is one of the frames what was built in 2002 by Laegers. It is one of a handful. The others with the big aluminum CT motor mounts were frames that were built by CT for Laeger. I don't know why it went that way, but it did. They seem to both hold up the same, and as far as I know, except for some small very minor details, (and the front motor mounts) they are all the same
