FCR 39 info and help

Guys,

I am in the process of buying a new carb , the FCR 39 .

Could the thumb trotthle still be used , or do you realy have to go with the twist trothle ?

i modified my throttle cable for my thumb throttle to fit the fcr. you can order the thumb throttle cable from motion pro i think but i know you can order the throttle from lrd. www.lrdracing.com

Dont waste you money with LRD or anybody else's special cable for the carbs. All what they are is cable from a Honda 4x4, maybe the Foreman. Thats what I did. Colby at C&D will probably know. It is alot cheaper, I think I paid 20 bucks or something.

Sparks racing sells the carb w/ the throttle cable. easy to install, and you dont hav to adjust anything such as grindin the housin or stuff like that. the throttle pull might actually be a bit shorter than the stock carb. about an inch or so and your wide open.

Motion Pro definately makes one, its like $40 I think. Or you can get the stock cable off another Honda, I can't recall which one, but its like $25, but its a longer cable than stock about 1/2 a foot longer.

I know alot of people selling the 39 FCR are selling them with a thumb throttle cable. One place I know does is Magicracing.com. The Quadshop probably does too. I don't know if any of them guys ship to Belgium.

You can use a honda cable. It fits right on, no modifications needed. The throw is a lot shorter than stock. Here is the honda part number: 17910-hn0-a00.

I think it's a Foreman 4x4, but I'm not sure. That is the part number I use on mine.

The cable for the 4X4 is too long. Atleast it was on emine. I mean it works, but it is really long. Call Johnny G at the carb parts warehouse. They can slick you up with a complete carb kit. jets, cable, and carb. He will also be able to help you with any questions u have. the problem is that I live in belgium , and phoning to the usa is very expensive for me .

But I will need a new carb ( FCR39) , cable kit for thumb trothle , kit for a normal twist trotthle from motion pro and jets .

Why the 2 one's ?

One kit with normal trottle for trial
One kit with twist trotthle for MX
