I am looking for any input on how to keep my new fullbores looking like new for a long time. Is there anything I can use to protect them? Wax, polishes, etc? Let me know! Thanks!

never said I was afraid to scratch it, hence the bent steering stem from rolling it and the cracked and rewelded subframe from jumping down a hill. I am simply looking to keep the plastics I just paid over 500 dollars for looking like new as long as possible. The overlay sounds like it would be a good idea for someone who was REALLY worried about them, but I was just thinking something simple like a coat of wax. I thought I had heard of people using mop n glo and a few other things. can anyone confirm this?

pledge will shine themback up but the main thing are going to be scraths.. from what I see most of them come from trees ( can not do much about ) and for me 90% are boots marking stuff up... I have started to ride in the freestyle type pants that go over the boot and protect the plastic seems to work really well for me

I've had good luck with tire foam. I use my 4x4 at the race track on the weekend but then kick the crap out of it during the week. To make it look like new i pressure wash it, let it dry, then spray tire foam on the whole thing. Thats what the dealer ship does on used quads.

i remember seeing a post on another forum about a clear film that is real think like 1/32 or 1/16 that you can put over the plastics to protect.

I just pressure wash after the ride then use tire shine. The pressure washer gets the dirt out of scratches and the tire foam does a good job of hiding the rest.

awesome, well if i ever get the rest of my fullbore set, I will probably just try to keep them clean and maybe try the tire foam idea. The guy I bought the plastics from ended up not having the rears in stock and tried to screw me out of my money by not sending me a refund. So, unlucky for him he had already refunded me for the fronts but never paid me the shipping cost to have them sent back and I disputed the charge on the rears through my credit card company and got my money back. So now I have to wait 30 days for him to challenge the dispute and if he doesn't then I have a free set of silver fullbore fronts. Just got to come up with the rears now.

A product called Plexus works awesome for buffing out small scratches and shining'em up. Mothers also makes a plastic wax. Might be able to lay down a coat of wax on'em while their still new.
