I know this is a question that has been asked probably about a thousand times but it seems to be 50/50 between answers but...
When 05' R was completely stock I would notice the header glow a nice cherry red after it idled for several minutes while being choked but would go away after I rode it around for a little while.
I finally modded it some and put K&N filter, FMF Jet Kit(stage 2), and FMF Factory 4 Slip-on. Still did the same thing just like it was when it was stock. So I figured it was normal.
Well I just put on a FMF Power Bomb Header and rode it around and noticed no matter if I was idling or cruising around, for about the first 3-4 inches was just glowing cherry red.
I know it can mean that it is running lean but it revs really smooth and decels w/out popping. Also I'm pretty sure the FMF header is a lot thinner than my stock one was because its a lot lighter.
Just wanting to get some feedback to make sure everything is normal. Don't want anything happening to my baby :) .
