do they even race 300ex's or only 400ex's cause everyone has a 400, and is powder coating like pappys just for looks or can you ride with it too, not race , just ride with it

No one really races Mx with a 300Ex. But XC ppl do.

And PPC racing. Powdercoat you can ride with. It is for looks but is very stong. Unless you pced your skid plate

The open 4 stroke winner at my local races,,won the overall title on a pissed off 300ex,,,he raced some highly modded 400ex's and won..:eek:

yea but you have a yellow 300 like me. it wouldn't go good and they do make a black one. atleast i don't think so. saw your sig. i have a 2003 300. i have k and n with razors 20x11x9's in my room for when i go to MX.

I race MX with mine and I am mostly stock. I can jump everything everyone else does I just lose a little going down the straights. I was thinking of modifying it, but I would rather get a dirtbike instead since I am faster on them. I would recomend tires, a good set of shocks, handlebars (stock ones are weak) and a pipe, then maybe go into the motor. But you definately want to get the handling set first, in stock form the handling can barely keep up with the motor, it will only get worse the faster you get.

I have heard of some 300ex that race, I think Iremember some one.. I think it was Alky tell me about a pissed off 300 that races and it was a girl!!HJe said it was one mean ride..I would love to get mine into flattrack..I will do it one day...Graphics does make it look good, so will cutting those fenders,get some bars,nerfs.. pipe.. lots you can do ot make it look saweet!:blah

I raced a 300EX my first season of XC racing, it was bone stock with a K&N and Supertrap full system. I finished 4th in the PRO class. I did manage to break a shock though. Replace your stock shocks with Elkas or Works. (preferably Elka's) You'll be race ready with, Bars, Shocks, Tires, and a pipe and filter.

Well Toby maybe you had bad luck, mine are still doing good and I put them through a lot of abuse. Was it the shock mount that broke are the actual shock itself, I have heard of shock mounts breaking because apparently Honda can't weld them very well.

i heard about the shock breaking. at the bottom where it connects to the arm.

The shocks do break right a the point where it mounts to the lower a-arm. At least that where mine broke.

Correct o mundo! WE actually broke a second shock trail riding @ little sahara. THe 300 now has 2 brand new stock shocks. We only ride it ocassionally

Yep, that 300ex was faster than a Cannibal out of the corner. It would be awesome if you were to get into it. It really is a lot of fun.

yea i plan on racing the 300 four stroke 200 two stroke class next year if they have it at my track....im doin a few mods like a tether kill, 18in holeshots or tamers on 190's,renthals if i dont get them already, and a few other things...maybe front tires or something...i got a year to mod it becuase im still 13 lol
