Well it's that time of year again...... the New Black Knight mock up has begun .......

This year the frame is going to Super Mirror Orange w/metalic clear, the a-arms and swing-arm Four Play blue, The stem Four play chrome and black plastics with black wheels.......and no graphics ( sorry Ernie...lol). That's how it wants it and that's how he's getting it.

Things are moving right along this year…..not like last year wow what a disaster……but anyway that’s all behind us now. I’m waiting on a few things and it looks like by the end of January this bad boy will be done. I’ve made two appointments to get the frame steel shot blasted and had to cancel due to rain……it could have been snow ….we’ve been lucky.

So far I need to thank Tom @ Four Play, John @ Elka, Eric @ Elite, Kyle @ Cernic’s, it’s so cool to deal with people that care enough to call you back and help you out. Thanks again……it’s just begun and I’m sure you’ll be with me through out the build and after.

Your turns coming Mr. McVay……….. As soon as I get the frame blasted I’ll be up.

Now my favorite part........pics

SNAP! that looks awesome.
Real sharp looking.
I didn't see any grease sumdges on that frame. Did you grease the A arm pivot points?
I'm starting on my daughters bike tonight. It's a hot pink frame. I've got grease smudges everywhere. Hate that part.

Nice job guys.

Keep us updated.

I am just curious as to why you are going with the elka over the fox that you had last year and I thought that last year you had DC a arms and swingarm. Did you run into trouble with them last year?

Lets just say we decided to go a different route this year........ Fox makes a great shock and Mark was very good to us.

WOW Big Mike, That is going to be cool!! You know your going to end up with a whole bunch of trx parts like you once had eton parts. I always thought the FourPlay trx stuff looked awesome. The ground clearence in the front is awesome. GNCC guys should all be running these IMO.

Thanks Quadforce.......

Yea Rock he's really looking forward to the new suspension........ he keeps saying he can't wait for the whoops and the corners this year........ if nothing else the 15" rear shock looks impressive.....

I'm tired of beating up the poor kid....... when it's done it's going to someone and get set up right......shocks and all. I seen how Mccoy Shine's Honda rides and that's how I want his...... They took there's to McNett Performance and had it set up I think that's what we're going to do.....I'm going to call the dude today.

We haven't done sh*t on the quad........supposed to get the frame steel shoted this week but it looks like rain again....

We got the cold air return on the furnace done last night...... I got a tin knocker to make me a plenum we should get it on tonight.

We got heat !!!!!!!!!

I just noticed.....Kyle doesn't have his safety classes on........... that's a no no..... I'm going to have to write him up for that.

Well after talking to real shock people.....a shock is a shock no matter the manufacture they all do the same thing.Good shocks are the ones that are set up right.......no shocks from no manufacturer out of the box are perfect for the rider and quad.

Fox is a great shock.....but we went back to John at Elka where we were two years ago. I like the idea of the spring...... the air changes and leaks.......

When we're done it's going to Nate McNett @ McNett performance and getting set up right.

Well it's slowed down a bit. I just got the frame back from getting blasted yesterday. Now the frame has to go to the welder and get the upper motor mounts fixed and some other welding done and he can't take it until the first part of next week. Wheels and tires should be here any day now. Then all I'll need is sprockets and exhaust and I'll be ready to put it all together. I'm hoping to be done by March 1st. More pics coming soon.

Yea that's it....Kyle's buddy Ricky is moving up and we thought about it. I put it out there and got no bits on it so looks like we're going to run it again. His birthday's in January (he was thirteen) but he was twelve the first of the year so he could run both....he has a great race birthday.

The case is modded stock. The kick starter from what I understand has parts from a couple different applications and some special machined parts.........you'd have to call Charlie McVay to be sure. He showed me and told me how he does it but I really don't remember. Did you find a quad yet....?? we're going to build this cash cow and go from there...keep...sell... no clue right now.

I'm in the market for a 48, 49 or a 50 rear sprocket for a 300ex / 400ex / 250r USED the money tree died but if I have to I'll call Rebel and get a new one.......ouch. It's orange with metalic clear.......but I went over boord on the metlic and you can feel it it's a little rough in spots I was going to clear over the whole thing with regular clear and smooth it all out.......but Kyle said I was nutts it was fine......and lets start bolting stuff to it.......lol

OK last time.....you know me and pics...lol. Looks like it's done, not sure about painting the tank piece..???? what do you guys think. He wants nothing on it.....just the way it sits. All we need are some small cotter pins for the tie-rods and a spring for the exhaust. Looks like we're going to run it Friday night at the Wetmoreland County Fairgrounds at the fair. He always liked running fair night....... you got all the one night wounders and he thinks he's Doug Gust......lol.

WOW Mike the bike looks sick!
I think you'll be happy with the way it rides.
We have quite a few of those set ups out there and haven't had any complaints. Except for the parents wishing their bike felt that good.
I got your messages but we've been at Lorrettas for a week. We just got back last night.
I think I have a line on a new motor for you.
I will be in touch.

Thanks,
Tom

Tom the only thing a can compare the suspension to is a air ride seat in a big truck……wow. Can we make his 300ex do that…..???. Let me know on the motor, no hurry. I need some money tree fertilizer……it don’t seem to be growing that great.
