I haven't taken drivers ed. YET!!! I'm wanting to do it soon though. Maybe after winter, and the weather and rodes get better!

do you have to take drivers ed to get your permit in idaho? I know here it was just a simple test. i wung it and was able to pass first try. i took drivers ed right before i turned 16 and that really helped me with my driving test. so if you dont have to take it to get your permit id wait until closer to when you get your licence. I turn 17 tomorrow.

Well I'm not sure what all you do. Just some book work and some driving I'm guessing. Im totally clueless and need to find out more!!!!:p

Ya, just watching my mom driving me places makes me nervous!!! Stupid drivers! :blah:

LTRracer4
12-23-2008, 05:20 PM
yeah its not that bad. once it really hits you what your doing you might doubt that you will ever be good at driving, but i think its just a phase. becareful when you enter the "im the best driver in the world" phase thats when most people have their first wreck. Id recomend learning how to drive on a stick. Driving a stick is a life skill and once you learn how to drive a stick once you can drive anything you want.

LilQJ
12-23-2008, 05:46 PM
Ya I guess.
Ugh I don't want to drive one of those. Just starting up the truck today was scary (its a stick shift)

Happy birthday.

Learn to drive an automatic first ... once you're comfortable with the driving aspect , well then you can learn to drive a standard... that way there you're concentrated on the road and not on clutching and shifting.

Best of luck.

Happy belated birthday! Don't worry about the driving test its cake. I failed the first time because I was real nervous and the guy there was a complete, well, you know what. The second time I went to a different place and talked and joked around with the guy. Passed it with flying colors! Took my truck which is a stick also. :p

I can see it now. Some guy gettin real fast on his quad thinking he's all that, until you rip past him and he's sitting there wondering wtf just happened. :p

I know that would be a huge ego-buster for me.

hahahahahahaha I really dont know how anyone can fail their driving test or how so many idiots on the road can pass. If anything the driving test was fun! The one part they said to "try and get to 30MPH in this short area. Just go however fast you can get up to most can only do 15 to 20MPH since its so short of a distance and then hit the brakes between a panic stop and regular braking." I seized the opportunity and put the pedal all the way down then slammed the brakes not too hard but pretty quick. She said "wow most people cant even do 30MPH" I just laughed. Then parking between the cones which is where most fail it wasnt that hard it was more fun. Dodging cones is awesome in a car. 3 point turn seriosuly if you cant do that you are terrible. I dont know why people are nervous for it if your a good driver already there shouldnt be anything to worry about.

Ya. Me and mom or dad were going to go to the highschool parking lot when school is out and drive around there.

Drive through a 4-way stop! Ask me how I know....

For the record, I'm sure it wasn't the first time the DMV driver test lady had it happen either. Totally in control, in her calmest voice as I sailed through the intersection she said "apply the horn."

So......who wants driving lessons?

(In my defense, the stop sign was hidden by bushes. At least that's what I told my mom.......)
