2009 R1

Did anyone look at the new Yamaha YZF R1 I think its possibly one of the worst looking R1's ever. Gonna be alot of these left over for 2010. IMO not gonna be a huge seller.

eh' I dunno. With a fender eliminator kit, it'd look alright. My favorite looking bikes are still the new gsxr's.

im sure it will sell, its not too bad though im not huge on it. i can see it having a much nicer rear after an exhaust change and removing the license bracket. something about its lines that bothers me while im looking at the pictures though... gsxr for life

It sure wouldn't make me sell my Ducati anytime soon... Idk what it is about the R1, but it looks horrible IMO.

I think its ugly also. I don't know what they were thinking with the rear end and also gettin rid of the nicest part of the R1 the headlights. Big mistake on Yamahas part. The only good thing about it thou is the motor is supposed to be scarey fast. I'm sure that will still sell them.


On the other hand have any of you seen the reviews of the new cbrs with abs. For the average street rider that stuff is crazy! If your racing or stunting its not good but man does it look like it could get you out of a bad situation upright!

Yep they killed it. The r1's were wicked lookin in 08. FUN to ride also, man they are fast.
