Alright well i dont know hardly anything about boreing out quads exactly what is it?

Whats the Kit above? a 406,416,426,440? It doesnt tell.
Also if i would purchase the kit above what compression is best, boring size? i do mainly xc riding with little mx.
What all would i have to do if i got the kit?
would i still need to bore my quad out since it has a boring size there i can select?
i just dont quite understand it.:huh

The stock bore is 85mm. If you were to get an 85 mm piston, you would not need to rebore. An 86mm piston = 406cc, an 87mm = 416cc, 88mm= 426cc and an 89mm= 440cc.

As for compression, an 11:1 piston runs on 93 octane and anything higher than that means race gas.

So... you need to rebore if you get anything bigger than an 85mm piston. If you need to rebuild, you probably need to go up a size, so an 86mm 11:1 piston would probably be best. You could still use pump gas and you would get an increase in power from the higher compression.

Also, do a search... there are a thousand threads on this subject.

alright well if i did purchase this kit and get the 87mm (416) how much does it core to bore it out? and what exactly am i boring? i mean do i order this piston and take it to a shop to be bored out, instal then im finished? or do i have to rip something out of my quad and take it in to get broed along with installing this piston?
also after getting this kit how much does it usually cost to get a 87mm bore done?

You need to take the cylinder out and take it to an engine shop and have them bore the cylinder out for you. It costs $30-$50. Take the piston with the cylinder so that the shop can correctly bore it out (tolerances and stuff). When you get it back, put the new piston in and you should be good. There are other things you can do like a HD timing chain or HD studs.

Again, do a search and that should help you out.
