You should use a blaster frame
Cheaper
lighter
easy to build
Here is a pic of 85cc (with a 101 big bore kit) blaster

I thought the Raptor frame was lighter than the blasters.
Thanks for replying I hope to get all the pros and cons before I start building something.

Your right the raptor frame is 11pounds lighter
But the money you save with the blaster is well worth it
you can get a roller for next to nothing, I'm not so shure about the raptor

raptors are doing very well and there cheep 2499 here in washington, lone star and laeger all build arms and swingarms for these if you want to build a hybrid 85 for your kid go for it but make sure where you race allows hybrids, the raptor is much better choose , arms ,stem, shocks, and cr85 your ready to race.

Figured out what you are going to do yet? I am going to be startring a track here beside the house in a few weeks (whenever it dries out) so let me know when you get it done and you guys can come ride. I am sure the boys will love that.
