this is my blaster i got janssen +2 a-arms that were modified, and so were the top shok mounts to accept trx450r elkas. It has a modified banshee swingarm and axle to accept the motor and back blaster elka shok, the motor has a wr250f motor that has the athens 290 big bore. tell me what you think. theres also a pic of the quad in action with me riding.
ohh and ps. i race ssqsa youth class and was first in points till i blew the motor and this is the new rebuild

I wanna hear and see more. Of all the hybird blasters I've seen
(yz250, cr500, yz400, yz490, cbr600, ninja 500, ninja 600)
I've never seen a wr250f, good job.

You should check out blasterforum. com (minus the space)

How did you align the swingarm mounts to the motor. And was there any welding involved to fir the motor in?

Nice. Makes much more sense than the open class two stroke bike motors.

Get some video of this in action, if you can.

looks good, prepare to budget for those 250fs motors, they are literally ticking time bombs especially when pushed.

a 2 stroke could last a season with just a rering..

The wr250f motor is beefed up and detuned, and alot of 250f motors hold up well if maintained. You see failurtes when people change the oil every few rides and dont check valve train often. Besides the yamaha 5 valve engine is a great engine.......and as long as the oil is changed frequently and have sufficient cooling this thing will last easily a season.

Good job

Nice conversion. We have had quite a few of these conversions in South Africa but none have come out as nice as this, I had a wr250 motor in a YFZ 450 frame with the Athena 290 big bore kit. What a sweet motor! i Loved it. Anyways nice conversion:)

Nice looking blaster.

I wish that yamaha would have went in the water cooled dirtbike motor direction for the raptor 250 instead of the air cooled one.
