if anyone has a competly grenaded/trashed lower end of a 04/05 450r motor laying around, i'll take it off your hands.

ya, i've got a buddy that has a 05 motor, but its at a shop 3 hours away. is your case completly trashed? i dont need anything usable, just something to mock the stand up with?

it might be usable for that it may not. the fronts of the cases are broken off, and its disassembled too. look closely you can see the crack goes from side to side.

Ha, yeah pix like that are the reason I'm rebuilding my bottom end this winter before it goes out.

deffinatly do it. i think it may be a good rule of thumb to replace the crank every winter if you ride every other day. and if you race mx maybe every other season.

Yeah I'm going out into the garage right now to pop the top end off and get it out of the frame.
Hopefully I don't find anything bad.

If I don't find anything unexpected, hopefully the head will be ported w/ new valves, bore the FCR, all new bottom end bearings/seals and crank.
