i have a 2003 banshee frame that i am wanting to put a 400-426-450 into. i am very mechanicaly inclined and can make any bracket that i need, i was just wondering if anyone has done this. any input would be great. this will be my first four stroke bike so get ready for questions back.

the whole reason for this is so that i can race 450 class, i have tried riding every 450 under the sun and cant get comfortable on one. i guess i am stuck on the banshees geometry.

i want to stay with a yamaha motor so that i can make this look fairly production. i still need motor and everything to make it run so let me know what you got and price shipped to 73130

look in the show off your banshee thread on here.

some guy posted pics of his mx banshee sporting a 426 motor , it is sick looking.

if i was gonna do this. id just buy a custom frame from lonestar and have them to all the work. then you would have 250r geometry a 4 stroke motor and banshee seating position

i think the banshee is the worst handling chasis out there.... gotta be a better option for a hybrid

i am not changing chassis, i have fabricated stuff much harder than this before. these bikes fit me and my style of riding perfect. just wanting opinions on what motor would be the best for this chassis. i race flat track/tt and want a bike to race 450 class on. right now the one i have is a stock banshee with fmf pipes and coolhead and i race open class against highly modded 450s and am very competitive. right now i am first in points in the amp winternational series here in oklahoma.

i had an mx banshee and loved it.once you get used to the handling you can put them anywhere.

whats wrong with keepin the 350 motor in it.i know the 450 hit is smoother , but once your used to the banshee power:macho its very usable on the mx tracks.

wait are you only trying to buy a 450 motor to put in it because your banshee motor blew up? from the sounds of your profile you lost a piston or something..??

That is my Banshee!! I always thought I would never go to another machine after that one, but after building a Yfz450 last year, it has been sitting in the garage ever since. I kinda feel bad about letting it collect dust like that...:(

In my honest opinion it would be cool to put a yz 450 in that frame but as long as it was an aftermarket banshee frame. The reason i say aftermarket shee frames is because people put motorcycle engines in them all day long easier.
