The foot brake kit is one of the best mods you can add to your DRR, lets the driver have more control and braking power (there foot is stronger than there fingers). not legal in stock limited class 50cc. here are som install pics. simple mod.

Hey mark,
How long is your braided line? I have this installed but want to get rid of the 6'5" stock line. I also added 2" to the brake pedal, my nephew has adult size 8 feet and couldn't even use the pedal as made. A pedal 1/2" in front of the peg is useless . thanks, Lonny

34" LONG BRAKE LINE WORKS GOOD. I mount the nerfs 1" further towards rear than stock , and that also gives a more appropriate distance to the pedal while moving more weight transfer rearward.

you mean if I put one of these on my 5 year old son's 50, I will get crap at the ATVA race? I thought safety upgrades were ok.

My son got DQed because I had installed a foot brake. He was 5
and this was a charity race. This is what happens when parents of a 8 year old can't handle loosing to a 1st year racer thats only 5. I was told by our local offical from district 6 that if I didnt remove it by the next race he would be suspended for the rest of the season. We had already run 6 races.

.
We spend all of our time at the nationals, so I am not familiar with all of the other ATVA sanctioned events and series but I can tell you the footbrakes have not been legal at the nationals in the stock limited 50cc class. So check the series you intend to race and get a ruling .

This is going to be new to me, but my son has driven an 08 Apex mxr lt 90 and it had a foot brake and that is his #1 request for his new quad. We will only run 1 or maybe 2 ATVA National races. Is it a big pain in the a@# to swap it back to stock if I do put one on? I would worry about him not being comfortable with out it. His little hands have a tough time reaching and squeezing the levers.

Marc can you post an above view, I held one of these up to my sons race bike and with AC Nerfs on it the pedal is too far inboard and too short.
I am in the process now of looking to have a pedal made for our 4 bikes to correct this unless I am doing something wrong here.
Thanks, Corey

I desiged and built this foot brake, after building 20 or so, I gave the design to Lou at DRR. Since all of these foot brake assemblies now come from DRR and are available as a factory option, that should make it a " factory stock " part.
I will get a hold of Lou and see if he will post it on his website as a factory option, this should make it legal for any DRR running a Nat'l type event. Those not running DRR's might have a different problem than that though.

I heard that ^ about the "jokers" running the quad scene there .. I know about D-5 & especially the D-6 's BS!!
IMHO the district is falling apart for the quads ,the persons running it should step aside ASAP! & let better more realistic ,open minded, people run it to improve things
I know we are considering looking elsewhere ...even if it is an inconvenience or at the least we will NOT buy the card
& pick only a few select races to attend
racing should be fair ,fun & safe ...seems they work against of that at times

XXX-rider, I don't know if you know it but the ones that run D6 are all the track OWNERS'. They are the ones that sit down for hours at a time getting everything ready for the upcoming season. The D6PG is every track owner that is apart of D6.
Just thought you might wanna know that before you go and bash all the track owners' in D6.
