ok this cant be right.so i wasted a rad carrier and hubs (dont ask)and due to money being tight i decided to go back to stock till i can afford another rad.
i got a deal on some stock stuff and bought a 4 bearing carrier off e-bay from a guy who makes them in pennsylvania.
the problem is the adjuster has to be all they way in just so theres no play in the axle.
i bought the quad used and have no idea what its supposed to look like stock.am i missing something here?

there should be a C clip on the right side of the carrier holding it from sliding out again and holding that other piece in and then the rodar hub should be jamed right agenst it with a lock nut the lock nut has left had threads and underneath that lock nut there should be another little C clip and its my worst ememy:grr: other then that it should be good to go.

Possible your chain is stretched to the point the carrier wont provide enough adjustment.

ok ill explain better
installed dual row carrier
installed used locknut, hubs and clips n stuff

chain is fine

my question is when i adjust the axle locknuts on the right it has to be adjusted all the way for the axle to not have play

seems fine now but i cannot adjust it anymore.is that gonna mess me up in the future?or is this adjustment gonna be ok for the life of the bearings?

if not, then what am i missing?all c-clips are there, looks just like the manual says.

the exposed threads on the lock nut assembly is perfectly normal.
