anyone know the hp for a stock 250 recon

hmm i've got a recon myself, i'd guess maybe 15hp..

Yes it is 15. I was very surprised it only made that little when I had my '05. God I could point that thing just about anywhere and it would go.

check the little frame tag on the front of the frame under the front fenders and it will tell you the exact hp, no sure witch side its on

my 250 is rated from the factory at 16.8, with the spark arrestor out might pull 17

It is similar to the 250ex since it is the same motor. They make 15-16 agreed with all of you guys. lol, steve
