stock Z's have higher compression ratios than that and don't require anything special.

there also liquad cooled

r6's run at 12.4:1 and they run on 91

there are many variables that determine what fuel.

Well i've seen this question asked many many many times..and from what I've read. All guys with 11:1 compression pistons state that it will run,,but you'll get predetonation with this setup.. So yes you can run pump gas with 11:1 but no it won't run as good as it should. Just go with a 10.8:1,,I don't think you'll feel the power difference between the 2 and if you can,,you are the best seat of the pants power reader we got on the forum...:D

YES it will run, but run right not really... You can burn anything but it doesnt mean its right...

But you also have to ask how are they coming up with 11:1... Is it the factory saying " with this piston and cc head chamber we will have 11:1"??? Well you also have head gasket thickness to add into that... So you may only be running 10:5.1... Also your camshaft has alot to do with it... It depends on how it was cut... Does it bleed off pressure at lower rpm's and gain it back on top end... Does it have less lift and more duration, or more lift and less duration??? What is the cam timing at??? What centerline is the camshaft ground at,ect???

Cams can have a big effect on how much cylinder pressure is in your motor...

Yeah it is fine to run 11:1 with pump gas but make sure it is 93 or 94. Anythign lower then 93 is not good idea.

Mine pings on 92. I have to run 50/50 race gas. Screw it go 12-1 and get the performance. Trust me.
