Powdercoating Cylinder and head ?

hey pappy I have a 450R motor I'm building and I would like to black out the motor. Can it be done? If so how do you prep it I dont really want to take a sand blaster to my cylinder head. Thanks

All parts to be coated get media blasted.....that means that engine needs to be 100% disassembled.

You can always spray bomb it, but it wont last with out proper prep work

what do you use to protect gasket surfaces?

Tape is used to protect the surfaces.

When the parts are returned it is up to the customer to fully wash/flush the parts in an oil bath to assure no media will harm the internal parts of the engine. Ive done alot of them, but will not stand behind anything simply because I have no clue what kind of builder I am dealing with.
