has anyone else had any trouble removing the shifter to raise it to accomidate a race boot. mine was a pain in the *** to get off. the bolt comes down and hits the frame .. what a poor design.

You don't have to remove the bolt, just loosen it enough so that you can shove a flathead in the slot and pry it open a bit more, then just wiggle the shifter and it will come off. It took me a while to get it off the first time too.

i wasnt really tryn to remove the bolt totally it just seemed like it wasnt loose enough to wiggle it off. i kinda figured it out with the screw driver. i think im gonna buy a billet shifter any way.
does anyone know what is involved in doing the ****er pin relocator thing????
