kinda looking at a new set of shocks...i've been looking at all brands. i'm not an expert, but i do race occasionally and hit the district tracks. i can clear most jumps and am somewhat fast....what i'm trying to get across, is i'm not a pro and don't need top of the line, the best money can buy suspension.

i remember works being a cheap alternative, but it's seems anything above the steelers are just as expensive as the big brands. there g series and black widows are just as much.

any opinions on those? any other recommendations? i sent out my old pep's to be upgraded and rebuilt, but i was told they were shot and would cost close to new ones to be redone.

elkas on ebay seem pretty cheap also...
the shocks i need to buy would be long travel.

i would deffineatly talk to him. even if the price is too steep, he can deffineatly help you get an understanding of some of the shocks out there so you can get what you need.

This may be my perception, but it seems the PEP, Motowoz are custom built vs the Elkas and Foxs that are built "for everyone."

If that is the case, the custom shocks aren't much more than others, so why not get them? I'm far from pro, but I don't see why it would hurt having a nice suspension.

Assuming you ride ice also (your user name), I know Motowoz has done extreme amounts of winter time testing on thier products also. The amount of control you have over the shocks is amazing. Adjustments are made with out taking anything apart and are made while the shock is still on the quad. You will notice a big difference that a click or three made. You can't find an unhappy Motowoz owner. That says it all itself. Check your PM's.

I've been running a set of the PRO series Works shocks for a couple races now and I really like them.
