Hello I am having some problems with my stick steering stabilizer staying mounted in place. I have it mounted on the frame correctly, neither of the two heim joints bind. But when I turn the stiffness all the way up and work the handlebars side to side roughly, the frame mount will move. I have it torqued correctly and any tighter might strip it.
I was thinking of drilling it out and tapping it through my frame to put a set screw through it, but I am afraid if I do that it might oval out the hole in the frame.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I am afraid to ride with it, have it come loose and have the shaft penetrate the seal.
Here's some pics, not the best, hopefully they help some.

alittle off topic here, but I was wondering, why no radiator shrouds?

is the clamp itself loose when mounting to the frame?
If so to fix that u can grind down the bracket so that its smaller and fits frame better
Or do the bolts come lose?
use locitite to fix that

I'm still building the bike, shrouds will come.
The clamp is not loose when mounting to the frame, it is very tight, actually scraped some powder coat off.
The bolts do not come loose.
The steering stabilizer mount that mounts to the frame, spins on the frame when stabilizer is at full stiffness. The mount is very tight against the frame, scraping powdercoat off when the frame mount moves.

Take some good close up pics of how you have it mounted. Its binding up somewheres.

put a piece of rubber in clamp to stop sliping.

To tight of a fit to put rubber inside.
I am away at college for the rest of the week, I will try to get pics up sometime. But I am fairly certain there is no binding problems with the two heim joints.

Depending on how you have the brackets, they will bind. When it binds it will either move your frame bracket or bend/break the stabalizer shaft. Ive had/seen this happen several times. Also, you should never have to put rubber in the frame mount for a stabalizer.
