I just picked up a YFZ that has roll-design +3 arms and i noticed theres a good 1 cm of play between the frame mounts. I stripped everything down, checked all the bushing torqued everything to specs and nothing. Its still there and its enough play and actually hear it over the engine when the arms shift back and forth. Its like theres supposed to be a rubber bushing or something between the end and the frame.

Could someone who has similar a-arms shed some light on this problem.

i dont know if there is a rubber seal but i would fix it by putting a washer in between the arm and the frame.

no theyre for the right bike, i was just wondering if someone knew wether they had rubber bushings at the ends or not.

The strange thing is that the pivot bushings on the inside make it all the way to the frame mounts but theres alot more room in between the arm and the frame. Thats why im thinking something is supposed to go there

Wow...hope you didn't ride it like that. Your missing the dust caps...or as Yamaha calls them" Thrust Covers". You might want to replace the collars and bushing while you at it. Here are some part #'s

Bushings: 90381-15088-00 you'll need 8
Collar: 90387-101R3-00 you'll need 4
Covers: 1UY-23517-00-00 you'll need 8

Use some type of waterproof grease when you assemble.
