Believe me guy nobody is touching a new 09 yfz450r for 7100 plus tax???If they tell you different they are confused or are talking about a different 450r then the Yamaha 09 yfz450r!
All are asking 8299.I paid 8k plus tax out the door.Surrounding 3 states will not budge under 8k either.
Local dealers are only allocated 2 so far this year.A blue one and a white one. That is all they are allocated and they are sitting on them because they know they will get there dollar for them!

CaseDog350 nobody said you are full of ****! Those are your words. You must be a young man?Relax!
I believe on your first post you said that your dad said he can get a 09 yfz450r for 7100 otd? Then in your last reply you say a BASIC yfz450? So which is it? A basic or a 450 r???As I said in my previous post that someone is confused?Big difference in price between a basic 450 and a new 450 r?
I also realize that in different areas there are different prices. But I doubt very much anybody is walking otd with a 09 yfz450r for 7100???I stand by my statement also!
So I'am waiting for someone to honestly tell me they walked out the door for 7100 for a new 09 yfz450 r.That little letter R makes all the difference.
Have a good day and ride hard!

about which one, when my dad bought MY BASIC thursday for 7 otd, at the same place, he could have got the R for 71 otd. they had mine marked down to 6450, and they had just got it. i saw the price tag from the shop.

If you could have gotten the "R" for $7100 OTD, I think it was a stupid move to pay $7K for the plain 450.

-just my $0.02

Well casedog 350 I guess I have to eat my words!Have to give it to you there.Still can't understand why a basic yfz would be cheaper then the new R?But that is besides the fact.
Can't believe the price variations all over the country.Must be the economic times. Some areas are hurting and some are hanging in there a little longer.
Prices holding tough around here.
Well I'am a man of my word and you showed me up on this one.
Enjoy the new ride and ride hard!

thanks a lot man. the standard YFZ will always be cheaper then the YFZ though, lol. the dealership my dad got it from was real small and the owner told him "hey we dont BS people, we get the bike, set our price as we can, to move the vehicles. that way we're not stuck payin interest and you get a good deal"

and as long as its working for them, good for them.

Not to go off topic but the dealer where my friend works will pretty much sell a quad at cost if they purchase gear and/or accessories. If not then they go just above cost to make some profit and thow in a helmet. Most of the time he said they make out better than if they tried to rake the people over the coals!!??

Congrats on those who picked up the new R!

By the way the new R really has nice throttle response and pulls very hard. The new 42mm fuel injection setup has taken away the dead spot off throttle and really makes a difference in the performance.
I have a DASA full system ordered and a Dynajet power commander. Was told I'am on the list and should receive in about a month. Will put on a K&N filter and outerwear with the pipe and then fine tune.
Tech 3 beadlock Hipers will be in the end of the week and putting holeshots on.20 front and 18 rears.Been looking into the quadcross ITP's and might go to them. Not sure yet!
Do you guys know anyone with them?If so what have you heard about them?Appreciate any info.
Thanks and ride hard!

I don't think it's the economy. Here in Florida for years the prices varied quite a bit from one shop to the next. Our local shops have never budged. But you can go to other shops and the price would be alot cheaper. There's a place in Tennessee that will beat anyone's price in the nation. Can't remember their names but they sale them low. Back in 06 when the new R1's came out most shops were selling them for 10.5. The dealership in Tennessee was selling them for alil over 9. I guess the owner or the sales manager sets the price  .

Ken,
He works at a dealership up the line...almost in NY. I'll find the name of it this weekend and I'll let you know. I do know they have an R in stock.

We are heading to Treverton in June for some big ride...think it's going to be Banshee HQ get together. We'll be there with a few Shee's and our 450 if you want to meet up. I know it's a long way off but I have cabin fever like a MoFo!

Nelsons in Greenville MI $6,799 plus tax and title. No special deal or anything--they just turn lots of product. The taxes apply to the nearby states only.

Honda East in Toledo,OH is selling leftover 08' YFZ450's $4599 plus tax and doc($80). Once again no special deal--anybody buys same price.

just bought an 08 yfz 450 se w/gytr front grab bar and heel guards for 8 otd w/ the 4.5 year warranty

That would be kool if you uy it still in the box and out it together yourself but you cant it would void the warranty, and yamaha doesnt wanna be responsible for something you mess up when u put it together

For that, you probably should have got the R. The 4.5 year warranty sounds nice but be careful with what you do with the bike because it can be easily voided.
