I bought an LSR block off on ebay from atvgalaxy and it didnt include an oring. I wasnt sure if I needed one but when i was doing a search trying to find what to do with the hanging wires, I got worried about the oring.

should I "DIY" gasket it with some soda can card board?

And what do I do with the wires? I read you just cut them? I want everything to perform the same.

No, you don't need a gasket.. if you really want to be sure.. just put a LITTLE bit of silicone around the edges..

Put a bead of silicone around the outside of that circle. As hard as it seems, water does get into there.

Will do that.

What about the wires? I remember reading about splicing them with something else?

What do you mean by hanging wires? The rear parking brake cable?

the two that connect to the stock clutch perch where the parking brake is:

I just left those alone when I got a blockoff. I believe those are what sense that you have your clutch pulled in when starting in gear. I wouldn't touch them unless you are replacing the clutch lever as well.

Oh I see. I have read about what to do with the wires in that case but can't recall the exact procedure :ermm:

Ah, found it:

Lots of people, including myself, go with a smaller clutch perch and remove the park brake cable as well. The two wires on the clutch safety switch need to be spliced together in order for the quad to be able to start in gear. If you don't connect them than you'll have to shift it to neutral every time you want to start it.

i made a little gasket for mine. you def dont want muddy water to seep into the back of your caliper piston it would rust and sieze.
