help needed with trx300fw

1995 honda trx300fw. 4x4. no spark. has new stator, cdi, alarm box next to cdi box. will sometimes spark when hitting the start button but sparks when you go to let off it.
will not spark at all with kick starter.
any ideas as to what to check ????

have you checked the coil yet???

yeap, checked the coil, solenoid, reverse and oil sensors, stater switch, only thing really left that I can think of it wire harness broken wire somewhere unless someone else has another idea.

There was a post on this about 1 year ago but it never was really confirmed as to what the problem was.

this is strange, I got 2 different NEW cdi boxes from a dealership.
both were wrong. I dont know if they looked it up wrong, I get lots of parts there so i dont know if their computer was wrong or what. they sent me for a 350 honda which dont work.
So it was the CDI box was the problem.
