Hey I have a pretty dumb question but i figured id get some oponions....about mid summer i cracked my cases on my 07 450 honda...due to bad crank bearings......so after replacing everything n got to race the bike i raced it one weekend and on the last moto..last lap...my chain flew off and sumhow managed to crack the case where the shifting shaft goes thru into the engine....now i have a new case ordered but its the one w/the Vin# and takes forever to get here...in the mean time....how bad would it be to possibly jb weld it and tach weld it. I kno its a very stupid idea but i dont really have much to loose...if it breaks off again....im hoping the case will be in by that time...and i figured theres not all that much pressure on that particular point or very much oil as well.

let me know what your oponion is....

post a picture of the way it broke. because if its supporting ANY weight or is where theres ANY flex its gonna leak.

The only thing to worry about is losing all of your oil and frying your fresh rebuild. If it will hold oil it's safe to ride.

as long as it seals and wont leak oil i say why not go for it.
