what is it's purpose? does it have to do with the charging system? i'm hoping so; i bought a new battery this summer and had some troubles towards the end of summer with the battery dying... and i recently was playing with the wiring harness and realized the connector wasn't fully seated in the rectifier.

yes it does have to do with the charging system it is a voltage regulator that controls the voltage going to the battery from the stator

good to hear. i thought my stator had taken a crap... guess we'll find out in the spring!
