Nice looking quad!!!

The funny thing is the sprocket guard in the lower left pic is the original way I planned to solve the chain problems on the mini's. By installing sides on the sprocket to prevent the chain from being able to jump off. That idea was short lived, needless to say. Actually, it was the spring board into building a roller for the chain tensioner with the deep grooves that it has now. The mind has a funny way of solving problems. :D

Sorry Brad didn't mean to divert from the good looking quad.

Thanks for sharing,

You didn't divert anything James.

I just came across this quad and thought I might show it to everyone. Don't know how it will all shake out, but thought the specs for the price was very interesting.

Sorry Toby, Santa Brad Clause is buzy right now building something for James right now. And after the present Santa James Clause sent me, I had better kick my "elves" in gear.

I believe that the quad has an option of 3 different motors. I would like to see them put a hopped up 125 motor in it and see how it competes against the honda 125 race quads. I also think that they are working on after market suspension parts for it. There is one racing in Ohio this weekend in a harescramble, curious to see how it does.

Well it looks like the Fxr was piloted to a win this weekend.I like this quad moore and moore i looks wery competive even in stock form, dont be fooled those Dnm shocks arent that bad with the right set up,Pitster pro is saying they are set up for the quad not the pit bikes, you can see pitster pro reply on thumper talk and planet minis,my only question is how well they will do in Mx as i think we can use both the 125 and the 90 in the micro classes here in Norway.

How many are considering this for the GNCC?

I wish that this quad was out a year ago. I bought the ds 90x. This quad is only $200 more & alot more features & parts available for it. If you go to Pitsterpros website you can custom order the 90cc, 125cc & the 150cc quad.

I ordered my son a ssr 90r pit bike for Xmas & with the inner rotor kit that little bike is fast. These pit bike companies making quads might be the next big thing in 4 stroke youth racing.

We use DNM shocks as we import them set up they are a very good shock, depending on the set up from the factory you ask for

The bike is a nice bike, but also remember that it's a manual clutch and drastically changes how the power is transfered off the start line. I'm happy that there are some chinese brand bikes building products better than the big brands.

How can this mini weigh under 200lbs? Being that light how tough will it be? My son is a very aggressive rider and I'm thinking it might not last in the GNCC racing. What kind of HP is it putting out? Just some simple questions I know it's new but has any1 seen one run in the 125cc? We just got an 09 Apex 90 pro, think it can run with a built 90cc 2stroke?

If they work out, might get 1. Boy will momma me hot:mad: but who cares.

I watched the pitsterpro race in the mini quad class In the Gig755 vidios on u-tube.I seen some bragging about the victory on another sight .I was just wondering if the race was 90cc vs 90cc if so WOW vary impresive that thing hauls a**...............or 150cc prototype shifter vs 90cc belt drive.

Up here in Wisconsin they would never run a big oh super-mini in with the little guys on the belt drives.they have to run in the jr. class with the blasters and 300 hondas.

It was a decent video and the quad looks cool and sounds cool. In the posters other videos it was running with CVT's. A 150 shifter should win that race with a decent rider. I wasn't impressed at all with that. I would like to see it run against other 150's and see where it stands.

Buddy Williams did some testing with the Pitster Pro company over the weekend. The bike definately has potential. Tons of power. We tested the FXR 150 with a full manualy shifted motor. Buddy had never rode anything that required shifting let alone a clutch. After an hour or so, he was doing quite well. The company is very dedicated to not releasing the machine until it is race worthy. They are on the right track, and with a few more tweaks, its going to be a sweet bike.

02-23-2009, 03:22 PM
in the pic it looks quite a bit bigger than the 90's that are out there, am I correct?

raidernut
02-23-2009, 05:18 PM
The looks are deceiving due to the large bulky plastics. The plastics have removable panels to make a race cut style without cutting. The ones in the picture were not removed. The bike is a bit bigger than your standard cvt 90, but it is also a whole light lighter. Buddy is 9 years old and about 60 pounds and could easily pick the front of the quad 2 feet off the ground by the front bumper.

Where are these actually from? Is it an overseas bike?

raidernut
02-23-2009, 08:47 PM
yes its an overseas bike, the company is in Utah. They are top dogs in the pit bike world, and have been very successful in racing. The company is working closely with the engineers overseas to refine the product. They are not going to release the product until they are satisfied with the outcome. Its definately going to be a quality product. The chromoly chassis is very nice, and very strong looking.

i would like to see it down at earlywines this weekend up against more bikes and more riders i know from personal expierience levi coen is a good rider and im sure the bike is a good bike, just would like to see a matchup of the same. there is a bunch of great bikes and riders at earlywines in the 90 sr class to include taj garvie, corey powers, jaeger rose, dylan gerard to name a few and i would also like to see the 150 in the super mini class. i dont know the kids name in the super mini class but he makes his drr move like its a part of his body.
if anyone knows if they are gona take the pitster quad down let me know ill have to come watch. wish we had our shocks we could be part of the fun.

Check deeper into the results befor you all jump on the pitster bandwagon. Round 1 in florida the overall was being led by a stock Apex starting from the third line back by 24 seconds before his belt broke, beating both pitsters, the cobra had troubles running from the time the flag flew. Round 2 in GA, don't know what happened to the 1 pitster, the other did get the overall but by only 4 seconds, once again the stock Apex was the the quad only 4 seconds back.

Shoot looking at the results im more impressed with charlie welsch on a 70 getting 10th or 11th overall. He starts like the last row and passed a ton of 90s. Go Charlie go run that 70....
