How often should I grease the rad carrier since there is a zerk. (sp?) I went on about 6 rides after installing and packing it real good with grease.
What do you guys do?

I put grease in mine almost every ride just to be sure. Ive had mine for about 3-4 years and havnt had to replace bearings yet.

yea ive actually considered trying to get rid of my LSR carrier in place of a RAD so i can have that external zerk. its a pain having to take apart the entire carrier/axle assembly just to grease it.. an aftermarket swing arm with that part cut out would help out.. :D

pipeless, another idea would be to drill a hole in ur swinger, tap it, and get a oil pan drain plug, so wen you wana grease it just turn ur carrier back to the point where you can grease it, just an idea...

that is a great idea and i have often thought about it. i don't want to steal this thread, but my only concern would be the structural integrity of the swingarm after doing that. im sure a half inch hole won't hurt anything though..

I've seen swingarms with a BIG part missing, a shape of a triangle at least and inch all around and I guess thats the same reason they did it?
