Timing Chain Adjustor Help

I have a Honda 400ex and the timing chain is worn down i belive causing a annoying tick. I need to know how to ajust the timing chain. What tools do i need and can i do this myself? Or is it self adjusting. Any help is much appreciated at this point.

The stock tensioner is automatic. I would recommend adjusting the valves first, to try to eliminate the noise.

If you do replace the chain, get a stock CRF450R chain for it. Much stronger than the stock chain.

Yeah i just found out that it's automatic. I already have the HD chain and gaskets and sproket. Just waiting for after christmas to get a Stage 2 Hotcam.
