I need a quick reply.
Well, one of my friends has a used durablue X-33 with hubs. He wants $300. It just so happens that my axel is bent. I was using 2'' wheel spacers and launched 7'-8' of air, landed flat, and now I feel the rear end hop when I go down the pavement. I want to know If its a good Idea to get this axle. It comes with the hubs. It has less than 50 hours on it, and it was not jumping. Thanks, Nate

300 bucks for a USED DURA-BRAKE...NO WAY!!!!!!!! The Quadshop had brand new Lonestar axles for $334!

And after the REPEADTED horror stories about durablue....i would take an LSR over that 100 times over

but he is also getting hubs, the only reason there is more "horror" stories as you say is because so many more get sold

Spend the extra for a LSR or something.

lrd has a point. You see way more durablue axles out there. And there is a diff between the X-33 Eliminator and the plain Elimiator most people have. This comes with the hubs too. But hey, I can maybe have little more cash off too. Thanks alot, and I'd like more opinions too.

Another thing...your not going to have a warranty with a used axle, their not exchangable...

The part about the hubs is true. You are getting the hubs. But with that axle, you have no choice but to use durablue hubs. Personally, i think thats kind of a sham that they even sell the axle without them.

But Pippin is right. For 40 bucks more, you get (in my opinion) a much better axle, a NEW axle and a REAL lifetime warantee. But hey if your in a bind or you just really want that blue, go right ahead. I'm not gonna TELL you how to spend YOUR money:cool:

I wouldn't pay 300 for a used dura-blue even if it did come with hubs. I would get a LSR, give the Quadshop a call.

a regular x-33 is 400$+and hubs are 150, the ones u se breaking are the eliminators, the x-33 is what a lot of pros use and im sure he isnt going to jump it 70 feet like the pros

doug gust has been racing for 13 years i think he has some experience and he uses durablue... face it guys u are not pros u dont have to worry about breaking the axle at the level sme of you ride, but some do, just like swingarms only some of us who realy jump high will ahve to worry bout **** cracking and bending but not some1 that rides in a local sandpit and does 30 foot tables...

No...... the reason why there are so many horror stories is because they have inflicted more horror on ATVers than every other manufacturer combined. I don't think anyone from DuraBlow would EVER show up at RedBud! ( too many good trees around there for hanging people! )

Wouldn't touch a DuraBreak or a Dodge with a 10-foot cattle prod....... and for the same reasons.

Don't drink the bongwater!

Doug Gust say's he runs durablue, but i heard that he runs an RPM and just puts a durablue sticker on it......Just like how he runs AC pro pegs and runs DG stickers on it.

Also.......a million lonestar axles get sold and they don't have any horror stories. I'll admit, a lot of Durablue axles get sold, but a lot of them break too!

have you ever heard a story of a Lonestar or RPM axle breaking?

Thanks so much for all the replys. I decided to still get it. Since it is a friend, and not a person I don't know, he said if I break it he can send it in. They will never know that I used it. He went down to $250 on the price. I just figgure that If it takes a *****, I'll have him get the replacement, sell it on e-bay and use the money twords a new one. (LSR or RPM) Thanks again, later.
