Hello to all on this site! I'm new to your forum. I am from the land of snow and cheese. I am the owner of a shop that has been selling DRRs for a couple years. I just picked up my first sponsored rider for the ice racing season this winter and local and a couple national flat track events in 2009. Our shop is now in the middle of a small shot out with a couple engine builders. I have a local guy that is known for making some strong HP with the adults ATVs and sleds that is a good freind of mine. My sponsored rider is going with a Billy Holt build to compare top HP. At this point we are just going with cylinder port and carb mods. Just looking to see if anyone on this forum has ran a Billy Holt engine and what you had for dyno numbers? Hopefully we will be doing dyno runs with the two builds the week between X-mas and New Years. If things don't get to busy I will try to post our results.
Thanks!

I will bet a buck that Billy Holt's wins. I just got a Cylinder, Head and Piston from him and his work is amazing.

I think you might be right. The more we talk to Billy the more I believe he has a winning build. This will be my local guys first mini build and I was just hoping that we could deal locally. I like the idea of being able to talk face to face with any builder. Time will tell!

Thanks for another opinon on Billy's motors. Dose anyone have any number? We were told a full Mod Billy motor would pull 13-14 HP. Thats a great increase over the stock:eek2:

Wow 15 HP out of a 70. Was that just on cylinder work or case and cylinder? Do you have any paper on the run? Would love to see the run up!
Thanks!

If someone got 15hp out of a 70cvt I think alot of people would not mind spending $1800. Of course you can get different numbers with different dynos. Are those numbers to the rear wheels or at the crank and I only know of one cvt crank dyno,an I-Zapp special.

16.8 from the one we sent spain today and we backed the ignition of a bit to keep the bike safe, i must admit though that was a 76cc, we get 13.4 from a 50 so 15 from a 70 is quite achievable, good luck guys

13 hp from a 50?? what kind of supercharger are you guys using
is that on nitromethane i dont think anyone has ever hit that # on a dyno with a 50 .guess im just a skeptic

the 50cc bike raced in the 100cc grass track similar to TT i think, and was only ever beaten by a 103cc bike we have since found since inspected

I have read in some of those forums from over there accross the water that they do make some killer scooter engines... last year I posted the links to all the stage6 stuff and how this guy got a long chassi DRR type quad up to 14HP with 70CC... but I guess nobody ever read it... it was hard to pick up on the lauguge, but after a while you could figure it out... I think the tread was somethign like .. We need them guys to build our quads.... or something like that.. I found out that stuff while serching fot parts for my son's KYMCO Mongoose... after I was told buy some of the best mini ATV guys over here that there was nothing for it... and I found a SHYT load of stuff over there... I don't dought them numbers... We are just behind times over here in the US... we don't tune scooters like they do over there... we play with the big toys too much like R1s and Busas...

Here is one link... still looking for the others..
Get with Gary on all this stuff... G-Force has contacts with the guys to get what you need.

hope you get what your after, just remember its no good having 17hp without the torque i would rather have a 13hp with awsome torque, the trouble with the scooters is they all run very high port timings which will give hp but not so much torque, good luck guys.
