anyone know about the Turbo Chargers 4 the raptor and 400ex ???

anyone know about turbo charger for the raptor ? is it bad for the motor are anything? and what exhaust system what yall go with for a raptor? I like the big gun sounds bad as he11:D

talk to marty of the quad shop he is geting a turbo raptor built right now. He should have all the answer you need on the turbo sysytem

sounds like that might be a little dangerous on the trails,but tons of fun on the dunes and open stuff (go hard or go home)

I was just reading on that. Turbo Tech charges $3900 for the whole kit without an intercooler.

400ex turbo-ed with white bros pipe, and intercooler. Over 50 rear wheel HP.

i sure wish we could find someone with the kit already!! If we knew what parts was used then we could buy the parts for alot less seperatly!!

But for only 50 HP at the Rear wheels, I would rather only spend a grand an get a 440 kit for the same HP. For that kinda money you could get the same HP and get a lot more performance parts. JMO.;)

Thats what I was thinking too. Why spend that kinda money on something like that when you could put in an awesome 440 kit for less money.

C'mon guys, the 5 large is for the cool factor not just the added HP! Sure you can find Rs all day for that kind of dough with close to 50hp, you can add a boring old 416, 425 or 4 whatever to your EX and try to get close. But none of those would come close to the coolness of being the only guy at the dunes with a turbo EX! Of course as an added bonus you get fifty ponies and can whoop up on the best of 'em. IMO, if I had a choice of say, a MOTO or a turbo EX, I'd take the EX hands down.

i say my z400 should be more like 60hp. Or how about a Z440 with turbo!!. I beat that would be close to 90hp since a z440 already produces 50hp.

trbos are just palin cool, that is all there is to that. as for the 50hp 440z i would glady line up the ol honda and run'em. anyday. so if you live near me maybe we could hook up cause i aint to impressed with a z yet

if i had the money id throw a turbo on my quad..i like to work on cars and i know what a difference they make, i cant even imagine ripping around with a turbo on my quad..

think about it though, u are boring and stuff, and a 440 only makes around 42 ish hp, a TURBO charger will make 50, and u can then bore it out, stroke it, alky it, and all that blah blah

This summer there was a banshee at our track with a turbo on it & man would it run! When it would hit half track the turbo would kick in & the bike would get sideways & he would have to let out of it because it had too much power!!! Supposively with a better rider though it would run 3.9s in 300ft. That fast:eek: .
