Me and the old lady are having the discussion of which feels warmer in the winter having a humid house or a dry house??? She thinks we need to buy a humidifier because it will make it feel warmer, I think she's wrong but I dunno... any input??? Also, if it matters, we typically use two electric heaters in addition to our gas furnace.
humid heat deffinately feels warmer than dry heat. and a dry cold feels warmer than a humid cold.

Humid is hotter but less comfortable.

BUY a humidifier?
Why not just get a relatively large pot and set some water to a slow boil?
The steam will humidify your house...

We run 2 of them in our house, mostly for the static electricity problem. It gets so dry, that everything you touch, you get shocked from.
