ok, im thinking of buying a krank-it motor from a guy who responded to my kijiji ad. I am new to this building scene (only been a rider)and would like some input if its a good buy or not. heres the specs.

$900

krank-it cylinder bored 60k over
hot rod crank
89 clutch update
hinson basket
krank-it mid range pipe
has 40 hours on piston (so its done)

gimme some input boys

sounds high imo. you can usually get into the pro-x big bore motors for a little more than that.especially without a questionable hot rods crank.

alot of the horror stories iv heard about them are they go right away, this one has 40+ hours on it, but like i said im new to this so that may mean nothing.

I would come closer to paying 900.00 for one took apart in a bucket than one together, unless I knew the guy & lived close to me thats selling it.
One thats apart, you can inspect the parts closer & see whats junk & what aint.
Thats just me though.

imo that is steep, i sold my FTZ265 with a OEM crank, and a pro x jug and a spacer plate for 675 shipped to him... so i think you could get a better deal, i think krank it only uses a oem cylinder, prox has a aftermarket on and it really sweet...
