Cost ! Why you say ! When you have DRR and Apex building good race ready units. You can find some used Etons and Kaseas. Which you can buy the dual arm set ups . But DRR and Apex Are race ready for the same cost or less. Really a no brainer when you start looking at them. Not that the LTZ is not a good machine .Good luck to you!

just picked up daughters ltz 90 yesterday nice 5 hour trip. after taking the spacer out of the clutch last night im thinking i see why everyone builds the trx 90 and not the ltz. thinking i should have spent the extra money and got the trx. does anyone out there know where i can find aftermarket parts for it? thanks

Did taking out the spacer help? Was it worth it? Do you have instructions or a link to where I can get a manual? I am going to be searching for aftermarket parts myself...I will hit you up if I find anyhting good...

yeah taking out the spacer helps alot it lets the pullies go all the way together and makes the belt ride farther up which makes a higher gear id say the bike went from top speed of 15 to about 25

Any instructions? Tools needed?

its not hard at all takes about 10 to 15 minutes. all you need to do is take the clutch cover off and use an impact to take off the front pulley the spacer is just under the belt

ive been told not to do that it takes away your back preasure. if you want to do something like that get a new pipe a full lrd is only alittle over 200

You should have enough back pressure if you remove the baffle. Those 4-strokes are really choked already as it is. Im pretty sure you can also modify that spark arrester to let that thing breath a little more without buying that LRD system. Im not sure what size that LTZ90 runs for a carb, but Im willing to bet its tooo small.

the carb is really small ill find out the size

Well, to give you an idea what small is. The KFX90 has the same carb as my sons 50(16mm). At least do a 18-20mm carb. That won't help until you do something with the intake and exhaust.Look at the bright side, you could have bought a DS90X with its fancy looks and still end up with a turd.

Sorry to bust your bubble on this suject, the ltz-90 IMO would be suited for a learning bike or pit bike. My son raced one for 3 weeks before we switched to APEX LT. No comparison!!!! Any way looking for aftermarket parts?, call CT Racing of California talk to allen. CTRacing.com (I think) they dont list too much on the website, but the have an aftermarket pipe, rev-box, and last time I talked to him a clucth kit. I did find some shocks on e-bay from west coast quads, had to modify a little, but the ride is too stiff. Like I say best to use as a pit bike. LOL:D :D :D

p411m we just got this for daughter for xmas and its over at a buddies show and til you said that i thought that was a light. but after looking today you can see where on the controls its stamped out for a light so i wounder if you could use the one off the ltz 250 or 400. you would think they would make it to fit

I didn't see where anyone was downing what you are building on or intend on building. They're simply answering your questions as to why no one builds the LTZ90. They also gave their opinions on the bike in question. If you don't want peoples opinions don't ask. Or is it the fact that they're not saying what you'd like to hear? Good luck with the bike and I hope your daughter will enjoy it regardless of how it performs against the others ;) .

Cool pics, looks like the LTZ about lost it on that turn.

when we were messing around with this bike, we put one on and it really wakes up the motor. Make sure and buy the adjustable one for unlimited revs. it works! Another thing you'll want to do is take out three roller wieghts and between those two things makes a great bike...up to a point like I said on my last post.
