cletusEX (Nick) invited me down to his hunting camp for a few days of chasing Sika deer.

While those light-weights slept today, I snuck over to the marsh and grabbed a few pictures. The lighting was crap, dark and nasty but I got a few I liked.

Yeah in the spring when the sika does just drop the little ones an eagle can easily carry one off.

And Kenny my mom and sister in law where stuck in that mess coming east for 3 hours. We almost beat them home.

I couldnt believe how small that fawn was we saw, it couldnt have been any bigger then a Beagle:p

That road wasnt that bad, just stupid drivers going to fast. Then when folks started running out of gas, blocking both shoulders, the semi's as well, it got silly:p People were bithcin about food and water, I sat on my tailgate and ate spagettio's , deer jerky and watched them fall apart without having a normal life for 3 hours haha.

ohsobad_chevy, they are actually better tasting then whitetails!

Do you put black frames around your pics for some physiological reason in that when interpretting the black your rods and cones fire in such a matter that it increases the contrast or is that just your little thing?

Its just to make you ask questions. Its called a frame, and when I print them its called matting.

That is cool, pappy.
I would love to go bear hunting and some day I will.
You didn't kill one?

Pappy
12-09-2008, 05:21 PM
Nope, no we never were able to run or tree anything we felt was worth killing.....just running the dogs and tree'n them was satisfaction enough!

We would have hunted more today but a storm came in, and rain on top of alot of snow and ice was going to be very bad

haha yeah that was him!

Had a great time.

Tree'n bears with dogs is the way its done. You cant bait them here like other states, and its a crap load of work. Tree'n them lets the hunter look the bear over, if it isnt a shooter its off to chase another one. I saw 2 today that were killed by non dog hunters, neither was bigger then the one we tree'd. Choose your poison.

Brandon...cant thank you enough! Your pop is on his way home now, he is drivin a ford so hopefully it makes it!:D
