Once I figured out that the dealer only hooked up 1 of the spark plug wires, it started right up.

I've noticed that it gives most people that are used to carburetors. I put it in neutral, wait for the feul pump to adjust, and start it without touching the throttle. Most people try to give it gas while starting it which never seems to work.

ya its about 10 degrees at nite and i went to start it in the morning and it turned over but wouldnt even try to fire..the next day it was bout 10 degrees again when i tryed to start it n it turned over and started but wont stay running i think that it mite have a lil bit of ice in the gas line but it dnt make sense cuz ive ran it when it was this cold and it started rite up and ran fine..

im starting to think that it is the battery but it on a charger all the time so if it was low it still should start? right? idk im thinkin about puttin a lil bit of heat in it and a new set of plugs and see what happens.. hopefully it works:(

check your battery cables- make sure they are tight on the battery, if it's not that could happend, it has happend to me before. Call your dealership and ask about any recalls, my coil had a recall on it.

i just went and tryed to start it again and the same thing happens it runs for a second then shuts off and i try to staart it again ad it backfires and shoots a flame out the back....

could it be that limp mode or wutever it is? i have it piped but no fuel controller on it just the pink wire cut.. i think it was hmf that said it was fine to have a pipe and just cut the pink wire... there was a whole artical on it

ok...underneath the brake lever is two wires that connect to an R and N, I believe the white and black one goes on the left one, if you are looking at it, might be other way. My quad is at my teams shop. If they are backwards, it will do what you say it is doing. This has happened to me

Try it with the airbox lid on- might start better - run until warm.
Also turn the switch off after it quits and wait 30 seconds before turning back on- resets the computer!

i think i found the problem

i took the plugs out and they are black so its obviously running very rich since i put the pipe on and cut the wire..im gonna try a hotter plug but im gna have to keep a close eye on it so i dnt burn the motor up

Isn't the pink wire mod supposed to be done with an aftermarket exhaust AND open airbox lid? If so it could be giving the motor too much fuel.....

Yeah, it sounds like running the exhaust and pink wire cut needs to have the airbox opened up, try it with the lid off and see what happens.

Yes, when you put an aftermarket pipe on, you have to cut the pink wire. However you also have to get an fmi control module and redo the settings, It's kinda like jetting.

yes but i also was told if u go with the rossier pipe u dont need a controler because the secondary map was designed for that pipe. so i was told, but i havent had any probs with mine.

taking the airbox lid off would help elan it out and it wouldnt clog so many plugs then.

should be runing better then. the pink wire from what ive read is made for the rossier with the lid off. so when you had to lid on it was probably a bit rich. should be fine now.
