Just joined and wanted to say hi. Lots of great info on this site especially for someone who owns 2 different quads. Attached a couple of pics of my quads. 1 is an 04 450R and the other should need no intro. Just actually picked up the 250R a couple months ago, already have it stripped down to the frame getting it ready for powdercoat. Trying to decide if I want to keep it.

I'm almost positive i'm gonna sell the 450. As far as the 250R goes gonna have the frame pc'd do a little motor work nothing to extreme, some a-arms, swinger and suspension. Gonna refurb the stock parts I take off and keep them in case I want to put it back to original cond.

Keep the 250r just how it is and sell the 450r and buy another 250r to mod up. That bike looks to be in too nice of condition to molest!!! It will be worth more money if you dont mod it up and keep it in that shape!!

I agree, absolutely. The stock paint is really good stuff. With a little cleaner wax you can have it looking new in a few minutes. I have a pc's frame and honestly I don't like the fact that they blast all the factory primer off and you have to wonder what bare spots in the cracks don't have any coating on them...

Unless the paint is screwed don't strip it is my opinion - try waxing it first. Almost everything else is replaceable, but you'll have a lot harder time finding a factory painted frame in nice shape.
