Having access to a shop

I may be going up to where my mom's boyfriend lives during the winter time to help him on motor cycles he works on and was wondering what mods can I do to my 4 wheeler while I have it up at his shop? I was thinking to bore the cylinder. What biggest bore you can do on a 400ex? what supporting mods will I need to do? I'm gonna see if he can port. What can be ported on carburetor engine? The exhaust manifold? This guy I'm going to is very experienced with engines. My mom told me when eve he builds drag chopper the place would be over crowded whenever a chopper of the one he build is at the starting line. :)

or should I just sell my 400 and get a "quadzilla" or a 450r and mod that?
