Is there a way or setting, or something, to get the "Bokeh", you know the background blur, when using a Canon rebel xt w/ a Canon EF 75-300mmf/4-5.6lll lens? Thanks for any help

Use Aperture Priority (Or manual) and select the largest apeture (it will either be f4 or f5.6 on that lens depending on what zoom your at)

Distance to subject, the lens etc all play into it

Both of these were taken with the same lens...fun to play with!

Cool pics, those are exactly what I wanna do. Will it work better if i have a lens with a larger aperture, say one with a f/2, or f/3. Also, will the pic be better to take with the minimum focal length, or zoom, or will that make any difference. Sorry, I know this is ATV forum, but you pics suggest either professional, or just know what the hel* your doing? Thanks again.

Flowers, sticks, and a stuffed squirrel! Hey Pappy try sneaking up on a real animal and getting a good shot. And why is the center object in focus and everything else is blurry, I could take those pictures with a Kodak disposable. My Nikon 83000000 HLRP7 7k running a shutter speed of 7.8 with a Crypton 8400 lense taking pictures of the man on the moon looks clearer!

Ill just let you use my gear this weekend, no need for you to break out the expensive stuff:devil:

The big money lenses show their **** when you want to do some stuff, other times a typical lens can do just as well. It can vary ...at full zoom or wide opn, it depends alot on lighting, distance from main subject to background, film speed etc
