How do i get the bearings out of my carrier. I have a repair book and it says that i will need to use a driftbut it is very vague about the process. What the **** is a drift? I need to know asap anything will be helpful.

Thanks:)

get the carrier out . Heat it up at the outside with a butan flame or something else like you would use to camp overnight . After you heated it up , you just shake the baby up and down and they will come out buy themselves .

It always works for me .

Ya, a lil heat (NOT AOT) will loose it right. Then when your ready to put the new bearings in, stick the carrier in your oven to heat it up and put the new bearings in the freezer. Makes assembly a breeze, and let it cool/warm to room tempatre before you put the carrier back in the swingarm.

someone put this stuff in the faq forum, put the carrier in the oven after you have removed the seals and put the new bearings in the freezer, i think it said to leave it in for 10 minutes at like 400 degrees, then they'll just fall out then you grease it up and throw the new bearings in and put some new seals on it and ur ready to go.:D

yah I agree, this should go in the faq and i've seen a few threads like these. I know they are a pain to get out though, I had the same problem a few weeks ago when we were rebuilding the rear end.

I could be wrong but i think Rico made a thread in there on "How To" replace bearings in the carrier.
