well i've just been informed of yet another bit of bad news from where i used to live.
i wasnt particularly friend with Joey Mcghee, but he was like a "Radio" or "Forrest Gump" in the Atmore, Alabama community. he was mentally retarded, but extremely smart. he was just as friendly as can be, and its really just struck me as to how unfortunate this is.
Joey was out riding on his (not sure, but what i'm told), either a Z-400 or 400EX, by the motocross track which is located right along side of I-65. he was on a paved county road out by the track just cruising along in his lane and its hard for me to remember exactly but there's a pretty tough right hand turn in this particular stretch. well to make a long story short, he was struck by what im told was an 18-wheeler head on because it took the corner at rapid speed and cut the corner. this is a very busy stretch of road and it just suprises me and upsets me that this happened.
its just a sad story:( . i didnt really know him, but knew of him, and know that God called up an angel today.
RIP Joey
